Peak skin hunger is when you're at the doctor's office and just trying to get some iffy-looking moles ultrasounded, and moves like "you're lying down on your belly and the tech gently moves your hair out of the way so they can actually see your back" are almost impossible to get through without moaning like a thirsty porn star emitting pleasant subdued whine noises.

Mostly I'm just hoping that if anything further needs to be done, it can be done before my insurance plan year rolls over. I hit my out of pocket max so I have free health care for the next... *peer at calendar* six weeks? Give or take? I think? Unless I'm misremembering.

No, really. The feel of the trimmers they use for the fine detail on the back of the neck and behind the ears rather does it for me.

I haven't had that kind of treatment in a long time, personally. My hair is such that cutting it mostly just involves trimming (and layering) the back. The style is basically set at this point; the overall length just needs to be brought back in line sometimes.

But if having the clippers on your neck is anything like I remember, then yeah.
