Honestly I feel like the Interlight saga up until around when you got here really sounded like a creepypasta setup anyway--you had this RARE UNDISCOVERED GAME from a company (Interlight in this case) that basically works as a fictional OC company stand-in because it doesn't exist except for this game but the author can give all this exhaustive detail about them from their "research"

I enter a door in my second run I KNOW FOR A FACT is safe because I just showed that area in the first, but there's randomly a trouble warp there now, and it looks... vaguely different somehow... mostly the same but a little more red-tinted. It's super hard to see because of how dark it is but it almost looks like there could be some blood on the floor.

You nearly make it home in time, but it is too late. The last precious seconds of safe time fizzle away, and you fall prey to the Night Thieves. You try to reset so you can try again...nothing happens.

You shut the console off. Nothing. You shut the TV off. They're still there, laughing at you. Their laughs grow cacophonic as their faces draw closer to the screen, diving further into the uncanny valley as they appear to press up against the screen itself. As their laughs grow more and more discordant, you start to make out a phrase amongst it.

It is then that you realize you can faintly make out the shapes of bodies attached to the faces against the increasingly blood-soaked background...

They are not the bodies of men. Though twisted and half-decayed, they are clearly the bodies of sheep.
