COMPLETE: simian.interface++
Jul. 21st, 2018 06:28 pmThis was a bundle game for me, and it kind of shows. However, it is very solid bundle game! It was one of the reasons I picked up that bundle, and I was not disappointed.
Bordering on the very definition of "minimalist puzzle game," simian.interface++ is a half-hour romp in which the player moves the mouse around to find the exact angle to line everything up. If you watch the trailer, you pretty much have the idea. Also, there may or may not be some sort of abstract metaplot about the simian.interface experiment being hacked by a cat? It's, uh, weird, and a little surreal, but strangely cute.
Don't expect a big epic experience here, but as a bite-sized game for a bite-sized price, this is solid. Solving the puzzles feels satisfying, the music and visual presentation are great, and there's a secret level for completionists. A sure-why-not sort of game.
