Undertale full version live reactions: day 8

Greetings from Rainfurrest! I played this stretch with davidn and another friend physically in the room and watching me and many laughs were had.

• Undyne on the file load screen now! I had a theory that the game ties in "unlocks" of adding new characters to that screen basically when you've completed their arc, and I suppose that confirms it.
  
• NAPSTABLOOK22 has sent me a friend request! Of course I'm going to acc... awwww.
  
• "Do I Love Dr. Alphys" status: Still Very Yes
  
• Her call during the timing puzzle though. I'm rewatching the video (I record myself and and then watch the recording so that I can play in one sitting but still have this liveblog-format reaction post style) and it just... pauses at this part, the child standing perfectly still for a solid minute as all the real-life players were rolling on the floor.
  
• I don't know, Papyrus's advice on (hot voice) asking Dr. Alphys for help with a (audible wink) puzzle sounds perfectly fine to me.
  
• The mouse and the cheese is such a great running gag.
  
• RG01 and RG02 are exactly like how I ship those dragon bros on Tumblr (except only one of them is a dragon.)
  
• A dark room and Alphys here to hack the lights back on... this is going to be Mettaton again, isn't it?

• I thought I had legitimately beaten the bomb defusing minigame just in time until davidn informed me that he was watching the timer and it looked like the time slowed down as it got closer to 0 anyway. :(
  
• Alphys is the greatest.
  
• Is something up with the lasers guarding the north and south puzzles after the Return of Spider Bake Sale? They're blue, but holding still while passing through them DEFINITELY DOES NOT WORK.
  
• Aaaaa Alphys is asking me out to watch anime with her aaaaaa <3
  
• "You stop to smell the flowers." This game never ceases to either punish or give underwhelming rewards for going out of my way and I love it.
  
• Fun fact: I actually have no idea what I'm doing with these "get the boxes out of the way and zap the enemy ship" puzzles. I just kind of move them around at random until it looks like I've accidentally come close to a workable solution, and maybe turn my brain on for about the last two or three moves.
  
• Oh no, I'm freaked the fuck out by spiders but Muffet is somehow kind of cute the way she's rendered here. Help I am fur trash
  
• OKAY THE CLIMBING BIT IS REALLY AWESOME. Toby never stops impressing me with his ability to do new things with his interface.
  
• This battle is kind of hard though. Won on my first try (which davidn considered impressive) but I paid Muffet like all my money and used up several good healing items, which I can't replenish right now because I used up all my money. :(
  
• Mettaton in a white dress at the top of a staircase/tower unit which itself looked very familiar: "Is this the FF6 opera?" Mettaton descending the staircase as a very suspiciously-based-on-sounding theme plays with that same harp instrument: "Is this the FF6 opera??" The lyrics start: "TOBY OH MY GOD."
  
• THE COLOR TILE PUZZLE! That is just about the greatest brick joke I've seen in this game and davidn is apparently astonished that I actually legitimately tried to solve it. Meanwhile I'm just kind of embarrassed that I fell for it again.
  
• OH MY GOD ALPHYS I LOVE YOU and that was really heartwarming for something that came like five seconds after... well, that.
  
• Oh good, the Nice Cream guy! Just in time, after that Muffet fight I really need more... oh.
  
• That's okay, I actually didn't have money anyway.
  
• And this seems like we're gearing up for what's probably the final dungeon so I'm just going to save and call it here for now. Next time, depending on when I can pull myself away from the con!

I just can't believe he remembered all the rules to the coloured tiles puzzle, despite them being a joke...

Don't worry I tried to solve the puzzle too

also Teo I thought I told you to save up for health item (I'm furtrash for Muffet too honestly she's so cuuute >///< I need to draw her and Undyne soon.)
For now though I highly recommend getting into more random fights NOW so you can buy those Nice creams because... hard times are up ahead and you don't want to be under prepared at all.
