I would like to thank davidn for playing through this game first and posting about the Knight's Tour puzzles when he faced them. Fortunately, I learned about things like Warnsdorff's algorithm (which I had never heard of before reading about it but vowed to keep in mind should I ever get back to this game and catch up to that point) from the ensuing discussion thread. If I hadn't, I'd have been tearing my hair out about now.

I, of course, avoid that problem :)

I didn't know about his algorithm either before it was mentioned there - if so, it's possible I could have done it with some concentration just following that rule. We managed everything before the ultimate Knight's Tour 4 without help - though this was another thing done by Whitney and not me.
