May. 25th, 2009 03:39 pmAfter playing through and watching the majority of the characters' story modes in AC+, it is increasingly clear to me that there are only about four or five characters in the game who aren't so completely stupid that it's a miracle they managed to tie their own shoes this morning. Fortunately, there seems to be a good overlap between the actual smart characters and the characters I actually play--Slayer is as dapper and wise and completely badass as ever, and Millia (at least in her good ending) actually makes intelligent decisions about the dilemma with her powers, listens to advice from others when it's given to her, and comes out reasonably well. I was actually surprised to see her end up better off than Baiken (who does completely ignore everyone on a mad quest to destroy herself,) considering Millia actually has a valid reason to be worried about that sort of thing (what with the parasitic forbidden beast and all) and Baiken does not.
By contrast,
slither appears to have wound up with all of the especially moronic characters...well, okay, Faust and Potemkin have their heads on relatively straight, at least, but Chipp is the single biggest idiot in the entire game, and A.B.A. and Robo-Ky really aren't helping. In all fairness, though, Robo-Ky's story is hilarious.
Also, the fact that Kliff and Justice are in the game again mean their stages and, more importantly, their theme songs are back as well. Guilty Gear has awesome music anyway, but it's always nice to get Pride and Glory and Meet Again mixed in with the rest in the random song selection.
