I've found myself doing that a lot recently over the last couple of years, mostly by accident - even when I think a game is awful (such as Hexen II, a game that could best be described as a wall stud-finder simulator) I end up talking about how interesting it is. I was excited to find an article about all the Net Yaroze Playstation games we had in the UK recently, but it's just some American wankshaft talking about how terrible they all are. Why would you waste your time doing that - these are amateur programmers who were writing games for the Playstation for the first time and it's amazing that they were able to produce these!
