I skipped most of the review because I plan to play this eventually and don't want outside influence, but the Edit caught my eye. That's a normal problem with the Quest online game engine, I've played a fair few online and they always seem to have some hiccup or issue. Glulxe and Adrift-engine games may work differently, and there's a lot of games this year that are Web Only, No Offline Download for whatever reason -- my download of the "complete" zip only had about 30-ish games if I recall correctly.
