After going through this many puzzle games in a row where I kind of had to turn to the walkthroughs after this sort of thing happened, I was sort of beginning to worry about whether it was just bad luck or if I'm actually not as good at puzzles as I thought I was, or something... it does help to hear that this one wasn't just me.
