I played it for about four hours last night. The number of ways in which he brings up and then subverts RPG tropes is incredible - I'm looking forward to your reactions! And this is absolutely a game that I would want to voice through with whoever else is interested.
I think the only significant difference from the demo is the highlighting of enemies when you can Spare them... I'm pretty sure the option to skip text was there, but the frog telling you about it wasn't. I think that that, together with a slight adjustment later on, make The Big Thing in the demo a lot easier to notice.
But the choice is still yours. Ally... or betray? :)
