Can I just summarize all of your complaints so far?
"So, I really didn't know what I was doing, which means it's a bad game."
Other than LocoRoco (and, um, Hannah Montana), you picked three games whose reviews I recall mostly boiling down to "this took a bit of a learning curve, but was super engaging once I started learning the ins and outs". (In the case of LittleBigPlanet they were referring to the level editor, but that's essentially 90% of the game's reason for existing anyway.. how can a ZZTer resist ;D You saw the calculator someone jury-rigged (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiRgYBHoAoU#t=1m0s), right? Tell me that doesn't get your monitor/scroll/whatever boner popping. :D I actually find it really weird that their demo would consist of the stock levels, come to think of it.) HIOPBWDIDTDT (geez) basically entirely comes down to managing the ecosystem in your dungeon, and presumably the real game has more of a tutorial curve going on, than they would bother packing into a demo.. (though yeah, they might still be targeting the 'everything is so chaotic, THIS IS GREAT' crowd, I'm not sure..) And from everything I've heard about Dissidia, there's no way you can get through the actual game (beyond the first couple of levels?) by spamming attacks; there's this whole matter of the 'brave' meter, which is like a tug of war between the characters; it winds up working more like actual RPG boss battles, where you have to come up with then pull off the right strategy in order to get past them, particularly if you want to satisfy the bonus criteria to get rare drops or whatever...
